Kentucky Coleslaw

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4-1/2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound finely chopped cabbage (about 8 cups)
  • 2 medium carrots, finely chopped (about 2 cups)
  • 3 tablespoons grated onion

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the first 7 ingredients until combined. Add remaining ingredients; toss to coat. Refrigerate, covered, at least 2 hours and up to 3 days before serving.
