You Can Officially Make Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Stuffing for Thanksgiving

We all know the drill for Thanksgiving prep by now. We’ve got the apples peeled, potatoes chopped and more pie filling than we’ll ever need. Some of us like to start the Wednesday before while others choose to start their Thanksgiving day bright and early for a full cooking extravaganza. But no matter what, we always plan for what delicious main courses and tasty sides will make an appearance on our Thanksgiving menus.

But what if I said you could switch it up a bit? Red Lobster has made our holiday season with their latest Cheddar Bay Biscuit Stuffing recipe, and honestly…I don’t know if I can ever go back!

How to Make Cheddar Bay Biscuit Stuffing

It’s time to take that traditional Thanksgiving stuffing and give it the ‘ol 1-2 punch! It’s 2021—let’s try something cheesy and new.

First, you’ll need some Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits. You can order them to-go straight from your local Red Lobster restaurant, or you can buy the biscuit mix or frozen, ready to bake biscuits from Walmart. Don’t worry, there’s also a gluten free option! Everyone deserves to enjoy this delicious stuffing mix.

Ingredients

  • 12 each, or 8 cups, of Cheddar Bay Biscuits torn into small pieces
  • 6 cups of bread cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 2 cups of diced yellow onion
  • 1 cup of diced celery
  • 1/2 cup of diced carrots
  • 1 tsp of dried sage
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp fresh, chopped rosemary
  • 3 3/4 cup of chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Step 1: Bake the bread and biscuits

Preheat your oven to 300°F. Then, spread your Cheddar Bay biscuit pieces and cubed bread out on a large baking sheet and cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally until dry. Cool and put aside in a medium bowl. Then preheat the oven to 350°F.

Step 2: Saute the vegetables

Heat your butter in a saute pan over medium heat. Once melted, add your celery, carrots and onions and saute until slightly softened.

Step 3: Mix in bread and biscuits

Stir in the herbs, salt and pepper into the vegetables and remove from the heat. Add mixture to cooled biscuits and bread.

Step 4: Add chicken broth

Fold all ingredients together and slowly add the chicken broth. Taste occasionally and adjust seasoning as needed.

Step 5: Bake

Layer mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Enjoy!
