Ingredients
- 2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
- 2 cups warm water (110° to 115°)
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 to 5-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- Cornmeal
- Pizza toppings of your choice
Directions
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the oil, sugar, salt and 3 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a firm dough. Turn onto a floured surface; cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide dough into 10 pieces. Roll each portion into an 8-in. circle; prick each circle of dough several times with the tines of a fork. Transfer dough to greased baking sheets lightly sprinkled with cornmeal, building up edges slightly. Do not let rise. Bake at 425° until lightly browned, 6-8 minutes. Add toppings; bake 8-12 minutes longer.
